PAT Testing

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require that "any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe condition". With such strict regulations in place to ensure the safety of every body involved, it's important to have an electrician to rely on.

I am PartP registered and fully compliant with all current regulations to ensure that your business meets these strict criteria. My experience and training ensure that you can feel confident about the safety of your electrical safety responsibilities.

Emergency Light Testing

Like PAT testing, emergency light testing is an important part of ensuring a safe and responsible working and customer environment. That's why it is part of the strict guidelines set out in The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

I offer testing and related services for

  • emergency escape lighting; that part of an emergency lighting system that provides illumination for the safety of people leaving a location or attempting to terminate a potentially dangerous process beforehand.
  • standby lighting; that part of an emergency lighting system provided to enable normal activities to continue substantially unchanged
  • emergency route lighting; parts of the emergency escape lighting system in place to ensure that all means of escape can be effectively identified and safely used by occupants of the building

Electrical Installation Condition Report

Far from being just something that landlords need, the EICR is now a requirement for many businesses. Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 employers are responsible for employees’ health and safety in the workplace. As part of these guidelines, businesses should have an EICR carried out on their property regularly.

I will inspect the properties electrical cabling to ensure these are safe, and working exactly as intended within the limitations place on them by industry standards.
